LYNN LAVIN

Pottery / Ceramic Sculpture

Berkeley Springs, WV

"Clay has many magical properties that keep unfolding for me as I continue to work and explore its possibilities. My earthenware pottery is both wheel-thrown and hand-built, includes dinnerware for people and for pets, garden and animal sculptures, and critter light switch plates. All are of a whimsical nature meant to bring pleasure to the eye and enjoyment to the home.

Born in Baltimore, MD, I lived in Washington, DC then moved to Atlanta for twenty five years. In late 1998, I moved my Carrot Patch Pottery up to Berkeley Springs to be closer to my family and to be a part of the arts community here. I have been working in clay for 28 years, do regional craft fairs and have work in galleries in the South and locally." - Lynn Lavin
